But what Orlando lacks in oceanfront, it makes up for in lakes, and I’m not talking about a few ponds here and there. We’re talking over 100 lakes scattered across the region.

Downtown Orlando is the heartbeat of the city. If you want energy, this is it. High-rise condos, Amway Center for sports and concerts, Lake Eola Park with its iconic swans—it’s the city lifestyle. Wekiwa Springs and Rock Springs are favorites for swimming and kayaking in crystal-clear water. And if you want the ocean, Cocoa Beach and Daytona are just an hour away.
